The University Writing Award
Each semester, instructors in the Writing Seminars (English 123 and 223 as of Fal 2006) submit outstanding essays to the Writing Program Administrator. From this collection of excellent papers, the Composition Committee selects winners of the University Writing Awards who receive a certificate and a monetary prize, given at an awards ceremony. Students whose papers are selected must provide permission if they would like their work considered for inclusion in a Writing Program publication.
